After leaving high school, I worked retail at the "new" Sun Valley Mall for several years, then went into law enforcement, working as a dispatcher then a deputy for Contra Costa Sheriff's Office, leaving there to go into private business in 1979. During this time I married and divorced a few times. (I was very headstrong and a slow learner in my younger years.) I had one daughter, Danielle, now living about 2 miles away from us.

I moved to Sacramento in the mid-eighties, where I still reside. After 25 years I was contacted by my high school sweetheart, George Stanfill, class of 1965 (although he left school early, with encouragement from the Dean, Mr. See) and we married in 1993. He had been in both the Army (3 years in Germany) and the Navy, 17 years traveling the world, and has a daughter, Adina, now living in Livermore with her daughter.

After many years of owning my own furniture business, I retired, played with grandchildren, (David, Tyler, Brianna, and Reilly), until I became bored with not working. I spent time as the Director of Client Services for Crime Attorneys, a nationwide criminal defense firm. I'm now retired from that, too.

George and I are very involved in our church in West Sacramento, Horizon Christian Fellowship where I am a lay pastor, leading the Women's Ministry. I'm also working with the Law Enforcement Chaplaincy - Sacramento.

George is an avid golfer, I putter around with it, and we love to travel to Hawaii a couple of times a year for vacation and golf. My husband is retiring May 2012 and we are hoping to do some traveling in our RV, once we inherit an oil well! I'd love to hear from other alumni.
